A 32-Hour Cognoscente Group Endurance Event!

"WORD!" will be an Endurance event unlike any you have seen or read about in the past. 32 hours in duration, there will be minimum mileage to be considered a Finisher. There will be two mandatory Checkpoints. Final standings will be based upon the points you earn by fulfilling certain, um, "criteria" , and the mileage you accumulate while doing so.

This last sentence is an important concept, and bears repeating: Your final standings are based upon points earned and miles ridden. Note that this does not necessarily mean "more is better"; it means that there will be certain mileage ranges that will impact your final results, one way or the other. You will learn what these mileage ranges are at the Pre-Event Rider's Briefing.

Please be advised that, in true Cognoscente tradition, WORD! will not be an easy ride in the park. Planning your route will be a somewhat complex exercise. You will have to be sharp and mentally focused when planning.... however, depending upon a computer to do your thinking for you won't fly here, bubba! "Fulfilling criteria" sounds like an easy task, but trust us, it will be anything but easy.

Still, this is a Cognoscente Group event, first and foremost. That means big miles to do well in addition to clever route planning. If you are a complete dolt when it comes to route planning, you can still have outrageous fun during this event, and like all Cognoscente Group events, you will be challenged!
